The Historical Development of Crazier Eights (Part 2)
I discussed how I worked on games similar to Crazier Eights for about ten years before I published it as my first official game here. The version of the game I had at that time did not end up being the final version either. Additionally, there also was a lot of playtesting and changes to the game that were not discussed just over that year, and it has continued over the last couple of years. The newest version of the game Crazier Eights: Camelot is based on a version of the game I developed in 2013, and I have been working on it for a few years. There were five main versions of what ended up as Crazier Eights: Camelot, which I will discuss here. Continue reading

The Future of Crazier Eights
I am working on new versions of Crazier Eights in addition to expansions. New versions include at least fifty two unique cards, and new expansions include fifteen unique cards. Part of the appeal of Crazier Eights is the wide range of themes that can be used, similar to Fluxx, which is a good excuse for having new versions and expansions with strong themes. The next version will be Crazier Eights: Camelot, but there’s more versions I am also working on. Let’s take a look. Continue reading

Crazier Eights: Camelot
I have decided that the Second Edition of Crazier Eights should have a clear theme. It already had multiple characters from the King Arthur stories and I increased the Arthurian theme. Some of the cards that already had an Arthurian theme have been changed, the card images of some cards have been changed to be more consistent with the Arthurian theme, some cards have been renamed to have an Arthurian theme, and some cards were replaced to have more cards with the Arthurian theme.
