I have studied a lot of the details of the King Arthur legends, such as when a lot of the different characters were introduced and a lot of the ways the characters changed over time. Camelot as King Arthur’s court was a surprisingly late addition. Take a look at the infographic below. I will provide even more information at a later point. Crazier Eights originally had four colors, each with the same thirteen cards. Crazier Eights: Camelot has fifty three different cards, each with a different ability. The cards are inspired by the world of the King Arthur stories, and it has a lot of the key elements and characters from those stories. Let’s take a closer look at some of those characters and how the ability relates to what the card represents.
I have decided that the Second Edition of Crazier Eights should have a clear theme. It already had multiple characters from the King Arthur stories and I increased the Arthurian theme. Some of the cards that already had an Arthurian theme have been changed, the card images of some cards have been changed to be more consistent with the Arthurian theme, some cards have been renamed to have an Arthurian theme, and some cards were replaced to have more cards with the Arthurian theme.
