James Gray, the designer of Crazier Eights, will be at a convention next Saturday in the Bay Area, Salinas Comic Con (at Hartnell College, the Student Center, 411 Central Avenue Salinas, CA 93901). He will be there around 11 AM until around 6 PM, and it will be a chance to try the games out with the maker!

Shahrzad was reviewed by by AmyAileen Ramey on Ninja Truck. Her review can be found here. Based on my conversations with her, my impression is that she sees Shahrzad as a very similar to game to One Thousand & One Nights, and she thought that the split cards were a fun addition. She said, “No major thoughts about the difference. I did like the 1/2 card option, it made it more fun.”
Crazier Eights: One Thousand & One Nights, and Crazier Eights: Shahrzad have both been officially released. There’s also a promo card for the holiday: Each order for a 1001 Nights or Camelot game will come with the Library of Alexandria promo card from now until January!

It is the option to get Crazier Eights: Shahrzad as a $9 add on, another Crazier Eights set with the One Thousand & One Nights theme that can be mixed into Crazier Eights: One Thousand & One Nights or played as a stand alone game with 2 to 3 players.
